Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Mortgage Payments on an Estate

We inherited a house and it is still in the deceased name and we are the executors. We are a few months behind on the mortgage, and we just listed the house. Should the mortgage payments remain on hold until it sells, or are we still responsible for paying up to date.

Re: Mortgage Payments on an Estate

If the estate is able it should keep up the payments and taxes. It will make it easier to sell.

If the estate can not make the payments then its best that you talk to the bank at once and see if they'll hold off on foreclosing.
