Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

neighbor wants easement

I purchased a house with what we believed to be a shared driveway. My neighbor told me I cannot use it because I would be in his way. When I researched, looking for proof that I had a right to use it, I came to find out I own the whole driveway,(measurements on bottom of my deed and county tax map). So I showed my neighbor the documents and told him he can use the driveway to access his garage. But that wasn't good enough, he asked me to sign an easement and I said no. Now he is taking me to court. Do I have to sign an easement. Or will the court give him rights to use my land. Or can I just tell him to stay off period?

Re: neighbor wants easement

I suggest you consult with legal counsel. Your title needs to be examined and the facts must be reviewed. If the neighbor can establish twenty one years of use he would be entitled to the use and an easement. I suggest you have the matter reviewed to make a final determination.
