is it illegal to have a orange cone in front of your house on a residental street in philadelphia,PA

You asked about having an orange cone saving your parking space.

It is actually illegal to save a parking space by using any object (cone, chair, milk-crate, etc.). Yeah, I know, you shoveled the spot and no-one else should park there. It's a common neighborhood rule But placing an object there to save the spot is illegal and the police are under orders to ticket for that.

But that still doesn't make it right for someone to park in a spot that someone else shoveled out.
