Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

power of attorney

I co-signed on a car loan for a son in North Carolina. I live in PA and he wants me to sell the car here in PA. Bank says I need a Power of Attorney. Can I arrange that with him living in North Carolina and me living in PA? Thanks.

You can have a limited power of attorney signed by your son in North Carolina. However, it should conform to Pennsylvania law. Under PA. law the power of attorney must contain a notice provision and consent form to be valid. It is not expensive to prepare. If I can assist please let me know.
