My BF and I split up. The mortgage was in my name for credit purposes but I put both our names on the deed.How do I change his name off the deed? Also can I change my locks before I change his name off the deed?

Unfortunately, you will have to have him sign off on a "pocket" deed giving back his interest in the house....or, you'll have to track him down in the future when you try to sell. Waiting is a much more expensive proposition in my mind because he can hold his signature hostage for money at the closing.
