How can a woman take her husband off a deed if she has power of attorney and he is in jail

The purpose of a power of attorney is to permit the attorney-in-fact to do the same things that the principal would do if he were present. So, if the power of attorney authorizes the transfer of realty and if the husband consents, then it can be done. If the husband does not consent, the attorney faces civil and possibly criminal liability.
