Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
property line
We purchased our home and the property it stands on twenty seven years ago. Our neighbor, at the time of the purchase, said the property line was two feet from our driveway. There is a tree and shrub line three to four feet further away from our driveway. The previous owner of our home and I have mowed and maintained the lawn between our driveway and the tree line for over thirty years. The neighboring property has changed ownership three times since we purchased our property. None of the neighbors made any attempt to maintain the parcel of land between our driveway and the tree line. Yesterday my neighbor of ten plus years had his property surveyed and I came home to find orange boundry posts in the middle of the lawn I have been caring for since we purchased our property.
Do I have any claim of ownership to this piece of land I have been maintaining?

Re: property line
Based on the facts yes you probably have a claim. Title law would probably allow you to take by adverse possession.
You should speak with a lawyer before this moves along any further.
