Hi, I have a lien on my house due to not paying my property taxes(out of work for 2 years) I am presently working now at a low paying job, however I do tent to pay my taxes in May of this year. Can they sell my house b4 that

Re: property taxes

You should be talking to the taxing authority to which you owe the taxes. Depending on your income, you may be able to enter some kind of payment plan.

The house cannot be sold except at Sheriff's Sale. Before that can happen, you should get a notice of tax lien sale. This would be a last-ditch opportunity to settle the delinquent taxes and avoid the sale.

To be sure of your options, you should consult a local real estate lawyer.
