Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Quick Deeds in PA

I was given some information on quick deed filings for a deed transfer in Pennsylvania. What are they and how do they work in my state? Do I need a lawyer to file this?

Quick deed or quitclaim deed? Sounds like who ever gave you the information was NOT a lawyer.

Your second question answers your third question.

A filed deed will transfer land from one owner to another. Assuming the property is worth transferring then its worth doing correctly. Otherwise there can be immediate problems and possibly problems that might not show up for years.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.

I think you are talking about a quit claim deed....

This is not the only thing that needs to be submitted to transfer property in PA, you'll need a transfer tax form as well.

While it is not too complicated, I suggest using a lawyer to make sure it is done correctly.
