real estate inheritance

Would you recommend as your parents are getting older, for them to change their real estate over to their children for tax purposes?

Re: real estate inheritance

You asked about estate planning.

Your parents need to speak with an attorney about estate planning. A good estate planning attorney will let you introduce them and then kick you out of the office.

What your parents do or don't do with their property is not your concern. And since they will have passed on as of the time any taxes are due, then the taxes won't really be a concern for them.

Find an estate planning attorney for you parents and have them make an appointment. Then let them work with the attorney to devise a plan that takes care of them for life and passes on any remaining assets as they deem fit.

Regards,

Roger
