Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Real estate lease

If a lease states that a home will be pulled off the market and not shown for the duration of the lease, can the landlord put it back on the market? Also, can the landlord refuse to fix saftey issues such as smoke detectors and non working cieling fans?

Re: Real estate lease

If the lease says the landlord can't do something and he has then he has breached the lease.

As to safety issues, ceiling fans aren't part of that. Smoke detectors are another matter if they are required by code to be installed and in working order that would be a code violation. So you should check with the codes enforcement officer for your town.
