Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Real Estate Purchase and Property Defect

On June 29, 2007 I settled on my condo unit. I relied on the seller's and his agent warranties that the Air Conditioning Unit and plumbing systems were fine despite their having read the information in my Home Inspection report. On July 11, 2007 I discovered that the Air Conditioning Unit has a leak and feces is backing up in the bathroom toilet. I am thinking about writing a letter to the seller. I am scheduling repairs and will ask the professional for their opinions. I think the seller and/or the agent is responsible for the warranties they made to me. What should I do? Are they responsible?

Re: Real Estate Purchase and Property Defect

Are you saying you paid for a home inspection and ignored the findings that these systems were defective?

Did you have a lawyer review your documents before closing?

The question is do the warranties the seller provided require the repairs to be paid for after closing.

I would have to review your documents.

Good luck to you.
