Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
real estate release of marital rights
What does this paper mean? My name couldn't be used on our mortgage because of my credit score so everything is going in my husband's name. The real estate company says I have to sign this paper and I am afraid to. It sounds like I would be giving up any right to the house if something should happen between us down the road. Is this the case, and what happens if I don't sign it?

A real estate agent is not qualified to give you legal advice. S/He is just trying to get the transaction completed.
You should consult a lawyer before you sign anything like this. It may indeed result in your giving up rights to your home.
