My real estate sale contract is dated to expire 3/30/09 instead of 3/30/10 can I get out of the contract based upon this error?

Technically yes BUT that's not the real reason you want out is it. On the other hand if the signing date is after the expiration date the courts would probably hold this as a scrivener's error; correct the date and enforce the contract.
