Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania
Real Property Non Married PA
My girlfriend and I purchased a home together in 2004. The mortgage was placed in her name because I had bad credit at the time. we both have been paying the mortgage 50/50 since then and 50/50 for all the bills and anything else required for the home. The title to the home is in both out names. How do we go about with our separation? She is stating since the mortgage is in her name it his her house and I am not getting anything and must leave.

You need an attorney to file what is called a partition action. I suggest this ONLY if there is enough equity in the home to make it worthwhile as the costs will be at leat $2500.00.
