Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Removal from property title

My husband and I own several rental properties with both of our names on the titles. There is one property I did not want to purchase but my husband did. Three years later he has done nothing with this property and it has no insurance coverage on it because of the condition it is in. I don't know that he has any immediate plans to do anything with it. I would like to get rid of it, but he plans to work on it someday. How do I remove myself from the title?

Re: Removal from property title

Both you and your husband will have to execute a deed conveying the interest into your husband. However, if you are a mortgagor on any loans the conveyance will not relieve you of any financial liability. I can prepare such a deed at a minimal cost. However, a copy of the last deed in which you both took title would have to be sent to me. Gerald Hershenson 215-579-9390
