Removal of Trees from Neighbors Yard to Ours

We have tree limbs from our neighbors yard that hang onto our roof as well as hitting into our windows and siding of the home.

We have cut down some of the limbs and the neighbor has complained we cut too much off! What are our rights to trim or cut off these branches that damaging our home. If she has them cut off, do we have to pay for it? She says YES

Help!!!

You can cut off branches hanging into your yard, at your own expense.

Her branches in your yard are her problem. If they intrude or cause damage, it is a trespass, and she is responsible, unless you cut them yourself. You have the right to trim them back to her yard.
