Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I want to rent the property I own in a Pennsylvania borough for SHORT TERM RENTALS (under 30 days and similar to a www.vacationrentals.com scenario) this is not a resort area and I am curious - if the borough has no ordinance/zoning on the books to disallow this or require special permits, can i legally do it without breaking any zoning/ordinances? In other words, if there is no zoning/ordinance addressing short term residential rentals, is it then ok to do short term rentals until per say the borough passes an ordinance? thx!

Yes, you can rent your property to short term tenants. Yoo should hire a lawyer to review the local zoning and use laws to ensure that you don't needed a permit or license to become a landlord. You will need a lease and insurance.

Good luck.
