Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

I have rented a condo in the Philadelphia area from March - to end of July 2015. When I started the process the realtor did not disclose that the apt was up for sell. about a month ago they started wanting to show the apt to buyers and interrupting our lives all the time. My question is, can the new owners make us move out even though we have a contract until the end of July, the contract does not disclose anything about having to move if the apt is sold.

Thanks

Hi, Alexander,

Thank you for your question. A seller of real property sells it subject to any leases which are in effect at the time of the sale. Therefore, in your situation, the buyer would purchase the condo subject to your lease and could not evict you until the expiration of the lease term.

Kindest regards,
