Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

What are my rights for my demaged apartment?

Hello, I really need immediate help. The apartment building I rent was on the fire last night and everyone was elevated out of the building. The building won't have electricity and water for 3 days and I need a living place to stay. Should the demages done to my apartment be compensated? If yes, who is responsible for it? My apartment suit didn't burn but the whole place was under smoke and all my furniture and material things were demaged. And does it mean I could get a hotel room to be paid by the manager of the apartments? Thank you for the attention and I'd really appreciate if you answer.

Probably not much. The landlords duty is to restore the premises but not your things.

Your claim would be made against your renter's insurance. Now a days most landlords require you to have it. Its fairly inexpensive especially if you buy it from the same folks who you get car insurance from.
