Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Security Deposit

After 30 days my landlord wrote a letter saying that they needed an estimate of the damages occurred by our cats (urine on carpets) and would get back to us about our security deposit. Thirty ''additional'' days went by and we still have not heard from the landlord. What is our next step? I don't expect money back for the damages but don't they have to give us a detailed expense report or something telling us exactly what the money was used for? I am assuming since it has been 60 days since we moved out that there is something we can do? Can we sue for double the security deposit? I don't want to do it. Please advise because I want something to be done. How do I get them to cooperate with us?
