Re: Security deposit-extra requested after moved

Under Pennsylvania law a landlord is required to provide you with notice of any damnages within thirty day of vacating the property. You are required to provide the landlord with your new address. A failure to provide you with the thirty day notice can result in the landlord being subject to damages for double the security deposit. If proper notice is given you are responsible for any damages not covered by the security deposit. I suggest you consult with legal counsel. Gerald Hershenson Esq. 215-579-9390
