Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Must we "Shed" the shed?

A 6' high boundry fence (stockade type) exists between our house and the neighbor, the fence is the neighbor's property.

We have erected a tool shed on our property, next to the fence that is 8' high - extending 2 ft above the top of the fence.

The neighbor claims that the visible section is visually intrusive and wants it removed. Is there a basis for this demand?

Re: Must we

So long as your shed

1. is within your property line and

2. does not violate any zoning or building code (which may include height restrictions), and

3. if there is no deed restriction or declaration of covenants (for example, in planned communities) that prohibits such a shed,

you are within your rights.
