Ex spouse's judgement....Does this affect the wife's property

A judgement (in the husbands name only)was placed on the property in January, 2000. a quick claim deed was filed in May of this year. the divorce was final in May of this year. Will the Judgement follow the property or the ex husband.

Re: Ex spouse's judgement....Does this affect the wife's property

Assuming the property was held jointly as tenants by entireties (husband and wife ownership) a individual judgement is not a lien against the jointly held property. Upon entry of a divorce and transfer of title pursuant to a divorce decree it should not effect the title to the property. However, I suggest you consult with an attorney to review the full facts.
