Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Start an escrow company

Do I need a license to start an escrow company in PA? This company will be used for internet purchases from auctions. I am not interested in using this for Real Estate.

Where can I find the regulations that govern this type of business or the State Agency that is in charge?

Am I required to be bonded and insured?

There is no "professional" license, but there are various licenses, permits and regulations that must be put into place. Some of these depend on where you are located and others depend on exectly what type of business you will be transacting.

Same goes for bonding and insurance. The state and locality requirements may be different than the requirements for various entities with which you will be dealing.

This is the type of work a business lawyer will help you with. I'd be happy to discuss these or other legal issues with you. I'm a business lawyer by training and and have helped many small, medium and large business with similar type issues.
