Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

What do I do if my storage unit was sold illegally? We had received a certified letter stating to pay up to date by 12/17/18 or it was going to auction. We paid on 12/2/18. They auctioned off our unit on 12/17/18 at 12pm.

Let's assume you have the verified letter, your payment receipt you can take them to court. So who is the offending party?
