Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Tax sale properties

I purchased a house at a tax sale that still has an existing mortgage and wanted to know how I go about getting the old owners out? The sale was September 2002 and the court house told them who I am and they know it was sold, but has made no effort to move.

Re: Tax sale properties

You will have to bring an eviction proceeding. Suggest you consult with an attorney. The type of tax sale should be reviewed to determine if the mortgage was discharged as a result of the tax sale or if you purchased it subject to the mortgage.
