Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Is there such thing as a common law lien on a vehicle that has been paid for in full. My dad tells me he has one on my car (the title is in my name) so I can not sell it without him signing off on the sale. Is this true or is he bluffing with a lie?

The only liens recognized on motor vehicles are those registered with DMV. If he has an unregistered lien how would the person you sold it to know there was a lien on the vehicle?

You might want to ask dad what his Supreme Court ID number is, If he has to ask you what it is then he doesn't have one. FYI: It's the number assigned to attorneys admitted to practice in PA.
