Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

verbal agreements

In a nut shell this is my issue; 6 months ago my aunt and I made a verbal agreement that if I would move into my grandad's home and take care of him until his death, she would then give me the house. He past away a month ago. Now she wants to sell the house to me for top dollar. Do verbal agreements hold up in court?

Re: verbal agreements

The entire circumstances must be reviewed by legal counsel. Ordinarily verbal agreements regarding real estate are not enforceable. However, you may be entitled to fair value of your services taking care of your relative. You can make a claim against the Estate if you can substantiate the legal requirements. Gerald M.
