Legal Question in Securities Law in Pennsylvania
someone broke into my email account
I am in the process of going through mediation (before filing a law suit) where I was terminated because of my disablity from my company. The companies Human Resouce Director made false statements to the mediator about situations that occurred during the last week of my termination. On my AOL account (during that week)
I found an email that was written to my lawyer from me that I never wrote. In this email it supported the evidence (false statements ) from this Human Resouse director. I had my computer checked out by a specialist and they found that the email was not sent from my computer. The specialist felt that pehaps the company used my old password (passwords were the same) from my old company computer and used it to go into my AOL account and send this false email to my lawyer. This email makes me look like I did do things that truly NEVER HAPPENED....it supports the companies case! Is falsely using/going onto my personal AOL account... sending false information to my lawyer a criminal act....and where/what can I do to prove my old company sent this false email.
Please help.

You need to go through your attorney for this. Perhaps he can find a computer/e-mail expert to help draft a subpoena for information from AOL and YOUR ISP provider, to see if you can trace the e-mail back to who actually wrote it (there is a lot of hidden coding in e-mails that provide a LOT of possibly useful information). Good luck.

Let your attorney handle this. He or she has a better understanding of the situation than any of the attorneys that post on this bulletin board.
