Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Pennsylvania
what can i do
my fiance was sexually harrassed at her work place and brought it to her managers attention. management did no investigation and began to retaliate against her. today she was fired accused of something without proof. no reprimand, just fired. The harrassment was very dirty and caused alot of problems at home and work. the reason i am so concerned is that she is a good worker and a good person. she is easy to joke with, and would never report anything unless it was really bad. we currently have a lawyer involved and we are getting no feedback. please respond

Re: what can i do
If your fiance was fired for reporting sexual harassment she has a god claim under both Pennsylvania and federal law. It is illegal to retaliate against an employee for reporting this type of conduct regardless of the severity of the conduct.
If she has an attorney who is familiar with employment law she should go to that attorney for advice. If the attorney, however, is either unfamiliar with this area of the law or just unresponsive, she should seek other representation. Even if she has already signed a fee agreement she has a right to change counsel if her current lawyer is not perfoirming satisfactorily.
