Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Pennsylvania
How do I proceed ?
I am an assistant manager in a new nice family restaurant. All other managers and mangers before me have mostly been male. The fist night I walked in the door (I had not even gotten back to the office) I was told ...oh your female...they'll get rid of you quick. And believe me thay have tried. My main concern is the employees were talking sexual harrassment to the 10th power here. We have aprox 30 female employees.Which have almost all been sexually harrassed. From quid pro quo to just about every other form. I have reported it. It is under investigation. But how to I get it to be taken care of and not swept under the carpet?

If your emplyer does not promptly and effectively respond to a complaint of sexual harassment, you should file a complaint with either the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission or the EEOC. there are very short time frames for bringing these charges so it is important that you not delay. Although you do not absolutely need a lawyer to file a charge with those agencies, a lawyer's assistance would almost certainly be of great value. Most lawyers who practice in this field will take a meritorious harassmnet case on a contingency fee at no cost to the client.
