Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Pennsylvania
sexual allegation 3 to 5 years old
I am under investagations to sexual allegaations by my company. In which I do not understand why. Some of the allegations are from 1997. Most allegations are as follows: Did I ever ask the employee were they would like to go in their furture with the company? They were no reference to and favors or sex. I also ask this question to everyone of my 41 employee's. 1998 - Did I call a part time employee at home and ask them if they needed extra hours they could come into work. Again no talk of any type of favors or sex. They came to work and did they job. My company has treated me like I am a out cast. How far back can they go in trying to make some thing to fit their case. I know they would like me out because I stand up for other managers and say what is right. This all came about because one supervisor was getting ready to get into trouble for not doing their job. They are the one that started the ball but the company is trying to use it for their own needs.

Re: sexual allegation 3 to 5 years old
If an employer receives a claim of sexual harassment, the employer is obligated to investigate it. The fact that you have been asked questions does not mean, however, that you have been accused of sexual harassment. It may be that the questions to you are simply part of the background investigation of allegations against the other supervisor. If you are unsure you should request that you be specificly advised as to whether allegations have been made against you. If you are being invetsigated you should consult with a lawyer to get advice on how best to protect your rights.
