Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Pennsylvania
My Wife's old job
My wife's old boss used to show her explicit pictures in mags. And show her Victoria's Secret catalogs, suggest that if she would model it he would buy it.
She kept rejecting him then he layed her off and in three weeks hired another girl for the same position.
My wife now feels she is unable to get another job, because of a ''what if it happens again'' attitude. Is there some way of sueing to get the lost wages and possible mental help?

Re: My Wife's old job
Based on what you have described, it certainly sounds as if your wife has a potential claim for what is called "hostile work environment" sexual harrassment against her former employer.

Re: My Wife's old job
The behavior of your wife's former supervisor would certainly qualify as sexual harassment. Moreover, if her discharge was motivated by her reaction to his conduct she may have a claim for retaliatory discharge. If she continues to suffer because of this experience (e.g. her fear of returning to other work) her damages are potentially quite substantial. In addition, punitive damages may be warranted. The time for bringing a claim under the employment discrimination laws is very limited. Therfore, you should contact an attorney familiar with these issues as soon as possible.
