Legal Question in Social Security Law in Pennsylvania
backpay
i just recently started recieving ssi and ssd.. ive recieved my first backpay from ssi allready but as far as the backpay for ssd its still being processed but they said there was an offset .. what would the offset be coming from.? i havent receieved anymoney from anywhere since i applied or even back thru the yrs they check

SSD is offset by the amount of SSI you get. You get the higher of the two (SSD/SSI) but not both. Your local office can give you the specifics of your past due benefits and you should receive several written notices in the next few weeks.
