Legal Question in Social Security Law in Pennsylvania
Social security disability
I am receving unemployment now, I just found out that need a Liver. The doctor is saying that as time goes on there be a time when I will not be able to work. My question is can I Apply for SSD. now or will that interrup my unemployment, I still am able to work now but as time goes on the doctor say I might not be able to work.

Applying for Social Security Disability could affect your Unemployment Benefits because in order to receive unemployment benefits you have to be available for work. If you apply for Social Security Disability benefits, you are saying that you are not able to work at any job that exists in substantial numbers in the national economy.
