Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

careless driving ticket w/explanation of speeding/no radar

im a 40 yr old female with a clean record since i was 17.

i was recently cited with a careless driving ticket, which i feel was the only way for the officer to cite me for speeding which i was absolutely not going a rate of 65 in a 40. the ticket has no indication of radar or other devices used. and a co-worker happened to see the officer come after me, and she states i was definately not going that fast especially in prime traffic hour. can i beat this ticket? and can my witness sign something stating what she seen? isnt careless driving not to be confused with a speeding ticket? please advise as i pleaded not guilty

court date is 2-16

sincerely

Carless driving does not require a speeding element. The officer could testify that you were weaving or cutting in front of other cars. The ticket carries Three points which will increase your insurance. An attorney can attempt to arrange a plea bargain to an offense that does not carry points or help you fight the ticket. I have handled numerous traffic cases and offer free consultations and accept major credit cards through paypal.
