Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania
got a citation for "obedience to traffic control device" - direction of travel was shown both as "north" & "south" on citation - will this mistake invalidate citation?

Generally not. A lot of people think that they can beat a traffic ticket because of a mistake on a ticket. Sometimes this will work, but most times, the District Judge will base his decision on the evidence he hears in court. I would plead not guilty, send in the fine and discuss the case with the police officer before the hearing. In most cases he or she will reduce the charges to a more minor offense. On the other hand, you have nothing to lose by going to court and raising this mistake as a defense. You might even win.
