Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

My friend was pulled over and taken into custody because he failed a field sobriety test . officers stopped my friend for driving over double yellow line. Upon stop, (my friend) the driver had possession of marijuana on him. Upon agreeing to a search, they found more in my friends car that I didn't know about. We never really hang out, and he was giving me a ride. I did admit to taking a "hit" but the officer let me go and even had me drive my friends car to a safe location. Will and can I be charged later?
