Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

Handicap parking misuse

At the church I attend there are many who park in spaces that are designated handicap. I guess they feel that if they are handicapped because of a sprained ankle, a history of heart disease or some other such complaint. They are more than able to do any work around their homes that they desire. They are not medically handicapped nor do they have a handicapped placard or license plate. Can they be issued a citation for this?

Re: Handicap parking misuse

they must have state authority to park legally in a space marked for handicap. However, if it is on private proerty, the owner of the property has the authority to call for the issuance of a summons

Yes, if public contact the police if private then the owner of the property must contact the police....
