Hit and Run help
Early one morning it was snowing and I lost control of my car. I went into a field, and the back end my car smashed a mailbox (as I slid sideways). My car became stuck in the field. I remained at the scene for at least an hour before I decided to leave the car and get it out the next morning. I arrived at my car at about 10:30am the next morning and remained there another hour before it was pulled onto the road where I left under the cars own power (not a reportable accident). The mailbox was the mailbox of a business so when I returned that morning I didn't believe there was anyone at the business at the time (Sunday), but there were footprints all around the mailbox and walking up to my car. I assumed this was the owner of the business but I didn't see any cars in the parking lot. In the vehicle code it says with property damage you have to leave a name and a note with information. I consider my car to be much better than a note. My assumption was right it was the owner who found the mailbox and my car. Although I didn’t talk to the owner of the mailbox until the next day the state police were already on it. I had to leave school early to talk to the police, afterward I went to the owner of the mailbox where I paid him for it.

Not sure what your question is. What are you charged with?

You need to speak to an attorney. Anything you say directly to the police is going to be used against you. It sounds like you have a good defense. I offer free consultations.
