Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I am from NY and was going to Hershey Park, PA with my family. We were on I-78 W. My husband was driving but was too tired since we left NY 7am so we decided to stop and switch drivers. My husband and I both got out of the car and switched places. I was already sitting on the driver side and my husband was walking over to the passenger side and a highway patrol officer stopped behind us. Officer stated he "saw someone throw paper from the back window". the window and door was closed so I don't even know how that was possible and then he accused my husband of urinating on the floor because he saw some fluid on the floor. He asked every adult in the car for an ID and gave ME a non-traffic Citation for "allowing passengers to throw paper and deposit unknown fluid on the highway". He then made my husband pick up the paper from the floor, which was already there when we stopped there, and said that maybe everyone is used to littering in NY but in PA they don't do those things. My husband then showed him our garbage bag that we had in the car. But the officer said he didn't care. Now, I think it is so unfair for me to plea guilty for something that neither I nor my passengers did. But I live in NY and I don't want to go to PA to fight a ticket. Is it a problem if an attorney goes to the court date and represent me?

Some courts will allow an attorney to appear for the client to negotiate a plea. It sounds like you want to fight the charge and if so, you would need to appear in court.
