Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

PA Licence Suspended

My husband lived in PA until September 2002 then he moved to VA. He got a speeding ticket in PA 2002 that he forgot about and he never paid it. Since he still had a PA license it was suspended in August of 2004 for 1 year. We were told that we needed to obtain legal counsel in order to get his license reinstated before August 2005. What do we have to do to get it reinstated and how long will it take? Thank you.

Re: PA Licence Suspended

Your husband needs to respond to get a bickley letter if he wasn't tried in abstentia and pay the restoration fee to pennDOT. Otherwise if he was convicted of speeding, he need to pay the ticket and pay the restoration fee. It should be an indefinite suspension until the issues are resolved rather than a 1 year suspension.
