Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania
police
Hello, I was recently in an auto accident and although no one was hurt it still damaged my car and the other person's car. There was a ''witness'' who was friends with the other person involved in the accident and did not show up until 10 minutes after the accident happened but said that he saw everything. He proceded to tell this to the police. Isn't it agasint the law to lie to a police officer? And why can this person get away with it? Thank you, Cristeen

Re: police
First, everyone lies to the police (except me).
Second what did this person say? Do you actually know? It is considered making a false report if you lie materially to the police. Put your comments on the record. Tell the police the individual was not present at the scene at the time of the incident, and that the person is appearantly a friend of the other party.
Good luck.
