Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

Hello, I was in the process of purchasing a new car and my insurance policy lapsed. The Saturday AM of the day when I was going to the dealer I was stopped by the PA Stae Police and issued 2 citations # Charge Grade Description Offense Dt. Disposition

1 75 4703 A S OPERATION OF VEHICLE WITHOUT OFFICIAL

CERTIFICATE and 1 75 1786 F S REQUIRED FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 06/19/2010. I have no previous record of speeding, DUI or points. My trial is 10/19/10 in Magistrate Court and was wondering if I automatically lose my Registration/Driving priveledges for 3 months? I have purchased a new vehicle (same day) with registration, inspection and insurance up to date.

If you are convicted there is an automatic loss of license. However, if you immediately reinstated your insurance and bring proof to court, they may work it out to just a fine with no suspension.

If you have not already done so, you should follow the instructions on the back of the ticket and plead not guilty and request a court hearing. I am a former Senior Deputy District Attorney and my firm has handled thousands of traffic tickets. My firm has an excellent relationship with all of the local judges and with all of the local police departments. T

You apparently acted quickly and responsibly. You should have an attorney.

I have been in practice for 38 years and handle a tremendous number of cases such as yours. I also travel to Chester County frequently.
