Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I got pulled over going 29 mph over the speed limit in Pennsylvania (94 in a 65). The police officer did not look at my registration or insurance, but scanned my ID. He told me his printer was broken, and it will be coming in the mail. I have no proof of the incident and no way of checking up on the violation. I have no idea what my penalty will be. Was this legit? What will happen now?

Eventually I would think that you will receive a citation in the mail. If you don't receive a citation, there is really nothing you can do. If you do receive a citation, you should plead not guilty and sen in the fine on the citation. You should then attend the hearing, with an attorney. Under the circumstances, and depending on what the police officer has to say to your attorney, your attorney should be able to "plea bargain" the amount of the mph over the speed limit. This will result in a reduction of points that are assissed against you by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. If more than 30 days have passed and you still have not received a citation, I beleive that you are probably OK, so long as the information on the ID he scanned was accurate.
