Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania
responsible for injury?
I recently rear ended someone at a red light. I was only idling forward and therefore was traveling at less than 5mph. There was no apparent damage done to either car. At the time neither the police or the insurance companies were notified because of the minor nature of the accident. Several ays later the person who I hit claims he missed several days of work and had to see a chiropractor as a result of the accident. He is demanding compensation for the injuries. Am I legally responsible for his back problems.

Re: responsible for injury?
You should notify your insurance company immediately. Many very minor traffic accidents lead to nuisance claims such as you described. Your insurance company can make the appropriate decision to investigate the claim for fraud. I offer free consultations.
