Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

Speeding Ticket Legal if they can't show you the radar?

I was driving on the I-81 when I got pulled over. I was given a ticket for doing 84/65, which is true that was the speed I was going but I was in a pack of cars all doing the same speed and was merely traveling the speed of traffic. Anyway, I when the cop gave me a ticket I asked if I could see what he had clocked me at. I had heard from someone that if they couldn't show you what they clocked you at, they couldn't write you a ticket. The cop couldn't/wouldn't show me. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, where I can find the law that says that? He wrote that he used radar to clock my speed.

The speed should be writtin in the ticket if it is a NYS UTT.

There is a box on the right side that has no pre-print in this. Depending on the contents of this box will tell you how the speed was determined.

My suggestion is plead not guilty and then try to get it reduced to a failure to obey a traffic control device (the speed limit sign).

Good Luck
