I have heard that there is a two year
statue of limitation on traffic violations,

Traffic violations have a 3 year statute of limitations. It used to be 2 years, but that was changed a few years ago. Also, the time only runs while you have not responded in any way to the ticket. Please be careful as to who you call and what you try to do yourself. The DJ offices will want you to plead guilty & "pay the fine...we'll release your license." If an outstanding ticket results in a license suspension then you will lose your license.
