Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

In 2005 my Mom and Dad, both elderly, signed over their home to my brother and I. My dad passed away, March 31, 2006. My brother informed me that I owe half the property taxes and half the lawn care maintenance, which is exhorbitant, on this property. I am 64 years old, and have my own property to pay taxes on, and cannot afford the tax and lawn care payments on the property I am co-owner, supposedly, listed on the deed. I've informed my brother of this, and he vows to take me to court to pay half these taxes. I am asking if it would be possible to 1. Buy my half of the property out. 2. Sell the home outright 3. He pay the property taxes, keep a running tab, and when my mom passes away, who is 88 years old, deduct the payment of the taxes from my share of the money received from the home? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Sincerely, Tom Garvie

Yes, there are 2 ways to do what you ask. The first is talk it over and agree to one of the 3 things you mentioned. Or 2 go to court and force the sale of the house. That might not be the best if your mother still lives there.
